I am a faculty member in the Economics Department at Reed College in Portland Oregon. I joined Reed in the summer of 2023.
The focus of my research is primarily in the areas of macroeconomics, labor economics, and public economics. I use analytical and quantitative models to answer questions about social security, pensions, saving, retirement, and the macroeconomy. I teach macroeconomic and computational economics courses at Reed College.
Prior to working at Reed, I was an assistant professor of economics at Lafayette College in Easton Pennsylvania. I completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Oregon in 2018, a M.A. in Political Science at Utah State University in 2011, and B.A.s in Economics and Political Science at Utah State in 2009.
